We have revised the requirement on the page since the app is still in beta, for a current rule of thumb plan for 2gb of ram for every 1080-resolution camera + good cpu (i5+) and a Nvidia gpu (tested a GTX 1070).
The recommended hardware should cover 16 1080-resolution cameras.
